Happy New Year from Greater Valley!
Welcome to Greater Valley's first Newsletter! We want to keep you updated on our resources and events past, present, and future so below is a recap of what we do, events we've held this season, and ways you can get involved!
What We Do
Greater Valley has been committed to offering child-centered, family-focused, and community-based programming since 2009. We target needs in the three pillars of family, education, and health & wellness in order to strengthen, educate, and empower our community. Each year, we serve thousands with our programs listed below as well as additional drives and events.
In 2021, we served 11,971 people!
What We've Been Up To
October 16th
Pumpkin Patch
To kick off the fall season, Greater Valley hosted a Halloween festival! Over 140 parents and kids alike came in to get their free trick-or-treat goodie bags, pumpkins, refreshments, and costumes!
November 22nd
Thanksgiving to Go
This Thanksgiving, we partnered with GIFT and 412 food rescue to provide free holiday kits (including meals) for 400 homebound or immunocompromised seniors.
December 11th
Holiday Extravaganza
This December, we hosted a Holiday Extravaganza with Christmas crafts, games, and pictures with Santa! We hosted local vendors to share their resources or sell goods to visitors.
December 16th/17th
Toys for Tots
In this years annual Toys for Tots event, we served nearly 100 families by providing gifts for children of all ages. Thanks to our donations, we had a variety of clothes, accessories, games, gadgets, and toys!
Spotlight: After-School Program
Greater Valley constantly innovates to accommodate community needs. Among several other projects, this year we began our first after-school program. Students 1st --12th grades are welcome to join us for homework help & activities ranging from arts & crafts, coding, sports, ceramics, cooking, and -for older students- graphic design, video production, and more!
