Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is thanks to member @featherfour, who recounted the incredible era of paperboys. Remember these hard-workers? Rain or shine, they pedalled through the streets to deliver the latest news. They’d be stationed at trams and bus stops, bustling intersections, and outside railway stations, shouting their hearts out and offering the newspapers. They were stars in their own right, earning some pocket money and helping their families. Do you have fond memories of encountering paperboys? Or perhaps you experienced being one yourself?
