Tuesday Edition
Happy Tuesday, dearest members! How are you all doing? Not like I (Jarred) am, I hope! You see, I feel like my limbs and arms are about to fall off after playing volleyball over the weekend with friends from my university days. It wouldn’t be such an issue if it weren’t for the fact that the last time I played was in May of last year, which means my body was in no condition at all to go back to hardcore play. I unleashed my competitive spirit, which also meant I pretended like I was still in tip-top shape to be jumping around and diving all over the volleyball court. Now, I am very much an example of ‘messing around and finding out’, though I believe I’m well into the ‘finding out’ part. Thankfully, I know from experience that this will pass. As for how long my body will protest my decision to play, I am uncertain. I can only hope the next few days have less soreness in store for me…
Anyway, let’s move on to more pressing matters at hand, like the answer to yesterday’s riddle! For those of you who don’t remember, the riddle was:
Where can everyone sit except you?
Did you answer it correctly? The answer is: your lap! Haha! I was so annoyed at thinking why I wasn’t allowed to sit on something everyone else could until the answer hit me. After that, I was just pleasantly surprised at how amusing this riddle was! Did you answer the riddle correctly? If you did, scroll down to the bottom of today’s newsletter for your much-deserved shout-out!
Let’s move on and find out what’s happening across the world and around Australia today!

underpaying employees: ‘I thought I could get through anything…’

As far as memories go, this is perhaps one of mankind’s most iconic ones as a race. This nostalgic picture was taken in 1969, when Australians, much like the rest of the world, stood transfixed and watched in awe as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin took the human race’s first steps into the frontier of space. Do you remember that day some fifty-odd years ago? What was the atmosphere like? What were the first reactions you heard people around you utter? By all means, don’t be shy and tell us! Of course, if you have other memories you’d like
to share with us too, post them with us here on our Nostalgia/Yesterday’s Australia forum!
