Message from Chris | Stroke Care Award | Virtual Reality Test | COVID-19 ![]() Week of June 27, 2022![]() Chris Siebenaler, A Message From ChrisAs we enter the second half of 2022, we look back at all that we have accomplished, along with the goals and initiatives we still want to achieve. One of those important initiatives kicks off in July. Through the remainder of the year, you will begin to see, hear and feel how we will evolve as we implement Performance Excellence across every department and unit of our hospital. Some of you may have heard about Kaizens or Daily Management or our Strategic Plan, and some of you may even be involved in one of these. We will focus the rest of the year on sharing the bigger picture of how this all connects and what this means for you. Performance Excellence puts a system in place that welcomes your unique skills, experiences, insights, and perspectives, which in turn elevates our ability to innovate, collaborate and lead medicine in the community that we serve. Performance Excellence: Everybody, Every Day. This means exactly what it says – every one of you is invited to join us on this journey because each of you plays a role in our work to be unparalleled. I invite you to join me and the Senior Leadership Team as we kick off “Performance Excellence: Everybody, Every Day” with several informative meetings open to all staff. You will learn more about Performance Excellence, including the “why” behind it and the important role you play. Stay tuned in next week’s newsletter for dates and times along with sign-up instructions. I am excited to see you there and see the rest of 2022 unfold. PATIENT COMPLIMENTS Main ED Patient: “David was not only wonderful in providing care for my child but he noticed I was cold in the ER and he brought me a blanket to stay warm. It is quite busy in the ER, so his efforts in keeping someone who was not even a patient comfortable were extraordinary. My daughter loved his humor. All of the nursing staff were kind and caring and we appreciated their efforts.” Sienna ED Patient: It was a really great experience. My injury felt very serious, but the staff made me feel comfortable and well cared for. It was without a doubt the most efficient and professional ER visit of my life. Well done! West Patient: “I've been in several hospitals throughout my lifetime, but this was the first time that the nurses’ station was extremely quiet at night.
