Easter and April Short Breaks, Groups and Activities can be booked from today. Please read on for more information.
Short Breaks, Groups and Activities run during term time and school holidays. Dates vary.
If you are receiving this email as you have registered interest for Short Breaks Groups and Activities which run during term time and school holidays. Children who are not eligible for benefits related Free school meals are now being asked to use Short Breaks, Groups & Activities INSTEAD of HAF.
Activities are currently booked directly with the activity providers. This process will be changing in the future, however for Easter and April you will still need to book directly with the activity providers. You do not need a referral or a code to book as any child with additional needs from level 1-4 can be considered based on needs discussed with providers upon booking. Please note spaces are limited under Short Breaks.
Short Breaks, Groups and Activities are funded by Worcestershire County Council. Some activities may require a parental contribution. The value for parental contribution and payment method is at the activity provider’s discretion. This information will be available from activity providers.
Activities are tailored to different support levels – please see list of providers for the level of support they provide. The levels of support are as follows:
Level 1 / Universal
- Disability does not impact functioning of the child
- Some developmental/behavioural problems
Level 2 - Additional
- Child’s level of care needs prevents them from accessing universal groups
- Limited mobility but with developed self-care
- Examples such as ASD, ADHD, Communication problems, behavioural problems, general developmental delay
Level 3 – Multiple and Complex
- Supporting children where a high level of support is required to engage in everyday functions and activities
- Intensive help and support required to meet their needs
- Activities and learning materials are highly adapted. Specialist teaching and support approaches are used
- Examples such as ASD who have severe learning disabilities or behaviour which is very challenging, sensory impairments, complex health conditions
Level 4 – Acute
- Supporting children with a serious long term and/or life limiting diagnoses or disabilities
- Complex and unpredictable health and medical needs that require specialist medical equipment or interventions
- A disability or a combination of disabilities that significantly impacts on a child’s daily life and functioning
- Constant adaptations to the activities including resources and interventions
- Examples of conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Quadriplegia, Duschans and those children and young people who are CCC eligible

Activities: Sunday club - youth club with SEND trained youth workers, tailored workshops and activities. Saturday - A transition club for young people with tailored workshops and activities.
Date of Activity: Form Sunday from March 24rd and following Saturdays and Sundays until 29th & 30th June.
Ages: Sunday 7-16yrs-(FULLY BOOKED) Saturday 14-18yrs old - places available

Activities: Splash and Play, Trampoline and Sensory circuits, Adapted biking, Softplay, Adapted Ice Skating.
Ages: SEN children and families attending together. Sibling entitled to attend also from ages 4-16 years of age. SEN ages 4- 24.

Date of Activity : Easter Holiday club for 4 dates 25th & 27 March 3 & 5th April. From 9am - 3 pm. Saturday sessions for 2 hours on 6th April, 4th May & 1st June. Out of school children SEN sessions April, May & June on Wednesday mornings term time, for 2 hours.

Adventure Playground Association (Evesham)

Activities: A range of activities based on our adventure playground -no electronic devices-large outdoor adventure playground, growing area, forest area, sports pitch, outdoor kitchen and activities for children to drop in and out of.

Activities: multisensory activities, four sensory rooms, sensory softplay - The White Room is our largest multisensory room. It incorporates a range of different features, including a heated waterbed that resonates with calming music, as well as equipment that can be turned on and off by our visitors whenever they want.
Date of Activity: Snoezey Sunday's Stay and Play (parents staying) running every Sunday- 9.30-12.15 and 1.30-4.15 from April 7th - June 30th.
