Faculty and staff colleagues,

On behalf of the members of the Provost Search Committee, I am pleased to report that the search for the University’s next Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is progressing well and on schedule. The search has garnered significant interest from talented leaders from across the country.

The search committee recently met and continued its multi-stage vetting process to identify compelling candidates whose backgrounds and experiences align strongly with the skill sets and qualifications established in the search profile. After thoughtful discussion and careful decision-making, the search committee has advanced a select group to participate in confidential, preliminary interviews.

Those interviews will take place next week and will be followed later this month by a second round of confidential, in-person interviews with a smaller group of leading candidates. We remain on track to welcome finalists to campus in late March or early April. During those visits, members of the Duquesne community will have the opportunity to meet the candidates and to offer confidential feedback to the search committee. Your impressions of the candidates will be deeply valued.

On behalf of the search committee, I thank you for your continued support. I will share additional updates as the campus visits draw nearer.

Kind regards,

David
