Adjust your vision

This week we got our first glimpse of the work of the not very impressively named James Webb Space Telescope. Indeed, the images this NASA telescope produced may not even have impressed you much, particularly if your understanding of the cosmos is limited to the occasional Netflix blockbuster or the meandering of Captain James T. Kirk on the USS Enterprise, like most of us. It may have looked like nothing you’d ever seen, but in a manner that you couldn’t really put your finger on.

A fair go - we're on our way!

The road to the Industrial Agreement struck with the State Government has been far from smooth, but it clears the pathway to far better conditions for public health doctors and ultimately all Western Australians.

The latest edition of Medicus provides a detailed overview of the in-principle agreement covering the negotiation process, and the new, beneficial conditions for both doctors in training and Senior Doctors.

We welcome all feedback on the new deal reached, and encourage doctors to contact us directly to discuss how the improvements secured will impact their individual circumstances, or how to access conditions such as portability of entitlements, or the ability to break service.

How a business continuity plan can help protect your firm

If some of the more popular buzzwords of the past two years were "flexible work" and "hybrid business", 2022's might be more along the lines of consistency and continuity.

Going into a third year of upheaval isn't appealing, so smart businesses are creating plans to offer a less disrupted service and process to clients and staff, if and when the unexpected happens.

But what is a business continuity plan? Does your business even need one? And if the answer is a categorical yes, how do you go about implementing something that will help your business thrive in the next 12 months and beyond, no matter what happens?
