Dippy the Dinosaur

Make no bones about it, there's a t-riffic line up of events in this week's postcard. To celebrate the arrival of Dippy the Dinosaur at Norwich Cathedral, next week will see a number of Tyrannosaurus Rex sculptures dotted around Norwich, each one uniquely designed to tell a different story about the city. Also on this week's Top 5 are Norwich ghost walks, The Wind in The Willows and a music recital at Wolterton Hall.

Dippy On Tour

Dippy the Dinosaur

This Summer there's a dinosaur in the Norwich!

Thanks to the Natural History Museum, Dippy the dinosaur will be calling Norwich Cathedral home for the next few months. Dippy is a cast of a Diplodocus that lived around 150 million years ago, and he is here to meet as many people as possible before he moves on to another city on his UK tour.

As well as meeting Dippy in the Nave, you can also explore a time tunnel in the Cathedral's Cloister, walk through a wave of fish and enjoy a whole host of other dinosaur-related exhibits.

GoGoDiscover is Break Charity's latest art trail in partnership with Wild in Art, and this year it features 21 uniquely designed T. Rex sculptures in Norwich!

Stomp through the streets of Norwich as part of a guided route to Norwich Cathedral to meet Dippy the Diplodocus. It's a great way to explore the city and learn more about its history and culture, all while raising vital money for vulnerable children and young people across the region.

The trail will be running from Monday 12 July until Saturday 11 September 2021.
