AEC is an Association that has stayed true to its longstanding mission, to enhance quality in higher music education through the principles of partnership and shared goals. Best wishes, Deborah Kelleher, AEC President Read about the 49th AEC Annual Congress 2022 which took place at the Conservatoire national supérieur musique et danse de Lyon (CNSMD), and online on 9 - 12 November under the title “Changing Perspectives – Imagine new traditions”. It is our great pleasure to announce the new composition of the AEC Council and ExCom. We are excited to welcome all the new members who will help us advance the AEC’s mission in Europe and all over the world. Throughout November, AEC continued its active participation to various cultural conferences organised by its partner associations, to disseminate its work while creating synergies and showing mutual support. The conference, entitled "Upbeat: Futures of Artistic Research (AR) in Music" will take place in Copenhagen from 30 March to 1 April. The deadline for the presentations’ proposals is 1 January 2023. The next METRIC IP will take place LIVE at Musikhochschule Leipzig. The programme will start on 15th February 2023 and will end on 19th February 2023. The first two sessions of the new ICON seminars took place at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague on 18th and 19th of November. Sara Primiterra is back as the Project Manager for the European Online Application System (EASY) for mobility among higher music education institutions. The subscriptions for 2022-23 are open and a new system will be soon introduced. It is composed of the Advocacy Advisory Group, together with EMC and CAE, ELIA and GEECT representatives, and the Advocacy Task Force. In addition, within Work Package 4, AEC provides support to EPASA, the newly established association for performing arts students. |
