![]() Dear friends and colleagues Eirik Birkeland, AEC President Directly or indirectly, the war determines the current advocacy activities of the AEC, e.g. in terms of facilitating the provision of study places or job opportunities for refugees from Ukraine. We are happy to announce that, since the beginning of the year, four new member institutions have joined the AEC community. The ninth AEC European Platform for Artistic Research in Music took place at the Royal Academy of Music in London and online on 7 – 9 April 2022 under the title “The Artistry of Artistic Research”. The HarMA+ Intensive Programme for Students took place in Tallinn, Estonia, gathering students for a one-week training programme on music theory. On Friday 6 May 2022, the RAPP Lab 3 will meet the "Forum Künstlerische Forschung" at the HfMT Cologne. Seminar #1 will take place at Fame’s from 14 June to 23 July 2022. The call is open until 15 May for strings musicians aged between 16 to 30! MusiQuE has recently completed diverse review procedures, conducted critical friend visits and held its Spring Board meeting. In the framework of the FAST45 project, the Summer School for academics, professionals, students and curious people will take place on 29 August - 1 September 2022.
