This monthly newsletter is created for you and your family! Be sure to stop by our campus for our World Down Syndrome Day – “Drive Thru Celebration!” We will be lined up in our driveway cheering; handing out goody bags; and showing how much we celebrate with you on this important day! All you need to do is “drive thru” any time between 4:30 – 6:30 pm! (Perfect for parents who want kiddos to remain in their car seats!) Spots Available for Winter Social Groups! (In Person) Our Winter Programming is under way! These Social Groups focus on providing a structured environment for children to practice social skills and interact with peers in their age group. Various activities will be provided week to week and supporting staff will facilitate interaction between participants and transitions between activities. Meeting every other Thursday, we have two options for times:

Once a group has reached 12 registered participants, a waitlist will be started. If you sign up for the waitlist, you will be contacted in the event of an open spot for a session. Join Us for Ready, Set, Regulate! (Therapeutic Small Groups for Children) Ready, Set, Regulate focuses on providing a supported environment where your child can learn and practice social skills. The groups are designed and facilitated by our Board Certified Behavior Analyst! The goal is to learn and practice social skills such as taking turns, following group instructions, and managing big emotions. Sessions are under way, so contact us for pricing!
If you are interested, please be sure to fill out a Pathways interest form! >> Individualized Therapy Services Designed Our Pathways Therapeutic Services focus on equipping families of children with practical strategies and purposeful activities today, which prepare them for a meaningful, productive, and authentic adult life in the future! The Pathways team includes an occupational therapist (OT), a speech-language pathologist (SLP), and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). We utilize evidence-based, best practices provided by therapists with advanced knowledge in Down syndrome. Join Us for our Parent/Caregiver Roundtable! (Virtual) Parent/Caregiver Roundtables provide an opportunity to get together and ask questions; share resources; and build connections with other parents and caregivers. These groups run from 5:15 to 6:00 pm (every other Thursday), but parents and caregivers are more than welcome to continue the conversation with others beyond the official end time. These groups are held on the off weeks of our Children’s In-Person Social Group, and will be hosted virtually in order to allow flexibility for parents and caregivers. Your child does not have to be attending the Children’s In-Person Group or any other services for you to attend our Virtual Parent and Caregiver Roundtables. Join us on March 5th for an educational seminar that will not only address the main health challenges of people with Down syndrome, but also how to address them at every stage of life. Presented by our Health & Wellness Coordinator, Scott Quaife, NSCA-CPT. You will learn various ways to incorporate an active lifestyle tailored to your loved one’s specific stage of this journey.
