Good afternoon Member

G’day, members! I (Dani) hope you're all feeling as bright and perky as a spring daisy in full bloom this afternoon. As usual, we're about to dive into another delightful assortment of stories and tidbits designed to tickle your fancy. I also thought I’d share a little pick-me-up song that’s helping me breeze through chores today—‘Boogie Shoes’ by KC and the Sunshine Band. Just imagine me grooving along to the beat as I write this newsletter. What songs make your heart dance? Share them with us. For now, let’s shift our focus to today’s stories.

Fact of the day

Salt to Preserve the Dead

Fact

Ancient Egyptians preserved their dead through mummification. To prevent decay, trained priests removed organs and packed the body in natron—a salt mixture. Next, they would wash off the salt and wrap the body in linen. Thousands of years later, we get to see mummified bodies well-preserved through time.
