Good morning, members, and welcome to our favourite day of the week - Friday! Can you believe another week has come and gone already? Time sure does fly when you’re having fun – or busy as a bee like we are here at the SDC headquarters. We hope your week was a good mix of productivity and relaxation. As for me (Vella), I have a confession to make. I wasn’t able to clean my room (maybe it can wait until this weekend), but hey, I did manage to finally buy some things I needed (or at least convinced myself that I did). Shopping may not be considered a monumental achievement for many, but those items were just sitting for so long in my shopping cart, you know?
Let’s shift gears for a moment. I decided I wanted to kick off this morning with a sense of nostalgia, so I dove into all your stories in our ‘What’s a childhood memory that got you into big trouble with your parents?’ thread, and oh my goodness, they were absolutely hilarious! It seems many of us received a proper smacking back in the day. Well, to be fair, we were all good little boys and girls; we were just bored, as our dear member @Hussky boy pointed out. Thank you all for sharing those hilarious memories and putting
smiles on our faces.
Now, let’s dive straight into today’s newsletter. Here’s our third and final riddle for the week:
I dig out tiny caves and store gold and silver in them. I also build bridges of silver and make crowns of gold. They are the smallest you could imagine. Sooner or later, everybody needs my help, yet many people are afraid to let me help them. Who am I?
Oh, this one is a classic! I wonder how many of you will get it correct? Give it a go and see if you can solve it. If you think you know the answer, head over to our riddle masters thread here. If you're correct, you'll get a special shout-out in tomorrow's newsletter, which is a pretty neat reward, don't you think?
Now, let's see what's happening in Australia and around the globe today.
