Parents' Weekend

By Lily Schneider

Parents' Weekend at the University of Utah was such a memorable and fun few days! My parents flew in from Washington, and it was so nice to spend time with them and show them around SLC.

Friday and Sunday were spent driving through Big Cottonwood Canyon, going to Park City, trying amazing restaurants downtown (Slackwater, Publix Kitchen, The Park Cafe), walking through Liberty Park, and showing them around our beautiful campus at the U. They loved seeing and exploring my new home and meeting all of my DG sisters that I have gotten close to over the semester.

Saturday was the big late-night game against the Buffalos. The game was an exhilarating blowout with a score of 53–7. Parents' weekend was one of my favorite weekends yet, and was the perfect time to introduce my parents to the new life I have built since leaving home.

Meet CMT

By Allie Boldt

President:
Jordan Polarek

What would you like the parents to know about the direction the chapter is heading in this upcoming year?
This year I would like our chapter to focus on strengthening connection and communication. We are going to create a space where every member feels informed, involved and inspired, whether that is through clearer updates, accessible resources, or more opportunities to build meaningful relationships. My goal is to make sure every member feels that they truly belong and are a part of something special.

What inspired you to run for president?
I wanted to run for President because of my love for the girls in Delta Gamma and the impact that their geniune connection has given me. Serving in my position as Director of Alumnae Relations this past year has shown me how intentional connection can transform someone's experience. I am so grateful for everything DG has given me, and I want to help every member feel seen, valued, and excited to be a part of this chapter.

What leadership values do you want to model for this chapter?
Authenticity, transparency, and empathy. I want to lead as a united team with my fellow CMT members, one that communicates clearly, brings positive energy, and shows up for our members. We will lead by example, listen first, and support one another.

VP Membership:
Ensley Miller

What part of this role are you most excited for?
I am most excited to create an environment where our members feel prepared, supported, and empowered to form new connections during recruitment. It is so meaningful to see such a large group of women come together with a shared purpose, and I cannot wait to see the heart of this chapter shine throughout the upcoming year.

What goals do you have for year-round member engagement?
My goal is to remind every Delta Gamma woman of their "why" beyond the two weeks that recruitment takes place. By engaging in intentional and productive spring recruitment preparation workshops, I hope that members are reminded of their purpose and the values that brought us all together in the first place.

What improvements do you plan to make for our 2026 primary recruitment?
I plan to implement a few changes that will make recruitment smoother, more intentional and more authentic for everyone involved. I plan on creating a Recruitment 101 guidebook to give members a clear understanding of what recruitment entails, to establish a designated marketing team to strengthen our social media presence, and to incorporate more chapter morale boosters throughout prep week to keep energy high!

VP Communications:
Hunter Hapke

What are you are excited to implement in your position this year?
I am really excited to create a big spreadsheet where everyone's majors, minors, internships, etc. can be placed, so that others, especially new members, can find someone to connect with on any questions or for advice.

What part of communications are you most passionate about?
I love the creative side of communications! I think that being able to organize things while keeping it fun is extremely important so that all members can keep up and be engaged.

Mothers' Brunch

By Bella Shelton

We wrapped up Parents' weekend with a beautiful Mothers' Brunch put on by our Vice President of Programming, Kennedy Sims. The morning was filled with delicious food, laughter, permanent jewelery, heartfelt speeches, and genuine connections throughout the room.

Some of our sisters shared their friendship journals, a cherished Beta Gamma tradition. We also had the chance to hear letters of love to our wonderful mothers that left no dry eyes in the room.

A slideshow highlighted the special memories we have created so far, and we ended the event with some fun DG superlatives. Delta Gamma absolutely adores our mothers and is so grateful to share our sisterhood with them!

Forever Thankful for DG

By Joelle Annen

Delta Gamma has changed my life for the better, and for that I am forever grateful. I am thankful for the 300+ sisters who accept me wholeheartedly and for the sisterhood we continue to cultivate together. I am thankful for the opportunties Delta Gamma has given me, to grow, lead, and be a part of something bigger than myself.

Most importantly, I am thankful to be a DG. Being a DG means striving to be a strong, caring, and dedicated woman. This Thanksgiving, and every day, my heart is full of gratitude for the Beta Gamma chapter and all of the incredible women who make it feel like home.
