NEWS UPDATE11 August 2023 Publishers noteThe Sydney International Boat Show wrapped up on Sunday afternoon with the event organiser reporting it as a resounding success. 46,919 attendees visited the show floor and marina with 233 exhibitors in total, and 646 vessels across the show. You can read their full report here. The event evolved from last years, with a reconfiguration of the show halls, and the introduction of a conduit of displays between the halls and marina. The displays were first class, and you must credit the industry for their effort in presenting their products and services. The show also provided the forum for several awards. A fitting time given the audience and attention of the occasion. Congratulations to the recipients. Dates for the 2024 event have been set – 1 to 4 August, and it would be sensible to put them in the diary. For those that did not participate this year, I would suggest that you look at this show as a part of your annual marketing / sales plans. It delivers a large, qualified audience, whose volume would be hard to reach and connect with through normal mediums. Other interesting reads this week include that of Rob Cuming who has sold the Northbank Fibreglass Boat business to Andrew and Chelsea Harris. The BIA has released their 2023 Boating Data Report Card, and another about a Queensland business and their ‘expanding vision’. Have a look at what they do, it really is ingenious. This week we also, with permission from the event organiser, share with you the boat show image libraries for each day. You can see the 4 libraries at the bottom of this newsletter or in our Webpage Photo Library. Image credit to Sydney International Boat Show and Rising Tide Film.
