Remember riding the old tait trains or ‘red rattlers’ back in the day? There’s nothing like going home from work on a sunny day and taking a ride on one of these beauties with the doors open, enjoying the breeze and scenery as you travel. The old taits were notorious for breaking down, but we didn’t care; we loved them anyway. They're a reminder of a simpler time when life moved at a slower pace. For those who want to take a step back in time, you can still ride the rattler as these iconic tait trains are back on track in Melbourne after 18 years.

Dags, Noise and Flames.
How scary is this photo taken by member @Elray? @Elray posted this photo in our photography forum with the caption, ‘This was taken at Eastern Creek raceway. A top fuel dragster blew an engine getting off the start line, and the resulting fireball burnt the hair off my arms and my eyebrows. Not a perfect shot but definitely one you don’t get to capture very often. The noise of those dragsters is horrific,
especially when you are only 20 - 30 feet in front of them, and yes, I did have a media pass.’
Oh my! What a wild and intense moment to capture! We’re glad you were far enough away from the action to be safe, but wow, that must have been quite a sight! Thank you so much, @Elray, for sharing this photo with us.

A bear is chasing a rabbit through the woods.
The rabbit trips on a glistening metal object.
The bear quickly picks up the object, which appears to be a silver oil lamp.
A genie appeared forth. The genie looked at the bear, the rabbit, and then back at the bear.
‘Alright, which of you schmucks freed me?’
