This month, 52 years ago: Amelia Gerhardt of RR 1 Norwich pulls insects from traps along the Thames River. Armed with hip boots, a glass jar, and a liking for bugs, she carried out this daily task as part of a study of aquatic insects around London, led by Dr. W.W. Judd, associate professor of zoology at Western.
