This was a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships with our important Indonesian and Chinese customers and to meet and discuss trade related aspects with a number of key government officials in both countries. CEO Richard Simonaitis provided an overview of Grains Australia and introduced presentations by the Australian Export Grains Innovation Centre (AEGIC) on topics including soft wheat, the health benefits of oats and barley in Chinese swine rations. India update: optimism on chickpeasGrains Australia was represented recently at Pulses 2024, the annual conference of the Global Pulse Confederation in New Delhi. Following the conference, Grains Australia's Pulse Council Chair Peter Wilson has provided insights into market trends and opportunities for crops including chickpeas – India’s single-largest pulse crop.

Variety classified as milling oatGrains Australia recently announced the classification of InterGrain’s oat variety 13008-18 (now known as Goldie) as a milling oat. New pulse brochure - Partnering with IndiaGrains Australia has developed a brochure outlining details of Australia’s valued pulse trading relationship with India. The brochure has been produced in collaboration with Australia’s Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and Austrade. COUNCILSGrains Australia’s Commodity Councils and the Grains Market Access Council assist in determining its strategic direction. |
