Upcoming Parking Lot Closures
Friday, July 25-Tuesday, August 5:
The entire West Metra Commuter Lot will be closed for Northbrook Days. Alternative commuter parking will be available at the East Metra Commuter Lot and at 1657 Shermer Road. Commuters are asked not to park in spots designated for downtown businesses.
NEW REFUSE RATES START SEPTEMBER 1
The new Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS) rates for refuse, recycling, and compost material collection take effect on September 1, 2025. These updated rates reflect both the annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) increase and the end of the Village subsidy. The next LRS bill will reflect the new rates.

Make the most of your Wednesdays by visiting the best weekday farmers market on the North Shore! The Northbrook Farmers Market is open every Wednesday from 7am to 1pm, rain or shine, through October 8. Located in downtown Northbrook on Cherry Lane between Meadow and Shermer Roads, the market brings together a vibrant mix of local farmers, food artisans, and small businesses.

West Metra Commuter Lot
The Northbrook Civic Foundation has one major fundraising event each year: Northbrook Days – held each summer in Northbrook. The five-day festival includes carnival games, rides, prize raffles, food from local restaurants, beer & wine, live music, and more! Learn more here.
National Night Out
Tuesday, August 5 from 6-9pm
Meadowhill Aquatic Center
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. The night includes DJ entertainment, giveaways, swimming, snacks, popsicles, drinks, games, raffles, K9 demonstrations, and more.
