Wednesday Edition
Well, hello there, members! It's good to see you on this fine Wednesday morning. How are you all today? I (Vella) am pumped because I'm starting a new habit today – I'm going to walk 5,000 steps a day! Well, the target should be 10,000 steps, but I'm going to ease my way into it. Walking is a great way to stay active, especially now that we all spend more time at home. Plus, it can help improve mood, memory, and sleep quality.
So, I encourage you all to get up and move your bodies today, even if it’s just for a short walk around the block. And if you’re feeling competitive, you can even join me in my 5,000 steps a day challenge! It feels great to have a goal to work towards, eh? And it's even better when you achieve it.
Now, enough about me. Let's move on to today's activities. We’ve got your weekly deals from Coles, Woolworths, ALDI, and IGA all wrapped up and ready for you. There are some great deals in there this week, so make sure to check them out!
And, of course, we’ve also got our second riddle of the week for you. This one is courtesy of member Dennis R. It’s tricky, so get those thinking caps on! Here it goes:
Where will you be able to find the 9 reindeer?
Oooh, we're absolutely stumped with this one, but maybe you guys can help us out and give us the answer. If you think you’ve got the correct answer, head on over to our riddle masters thread here. Anyone who gets the correct answer will be rewarded with a shout-out in tomorrow’s newsletter! Good luck, folks!

For today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’, we have a sweet story from member @Possum lover. ‘35 years ago, my husband hired a Santa suit and dressed up for our then two-and-a-half-year-old granddaughter. She sat on his knee, looked into his eyes, and said, “I like you; you're just like my Grandad”.’
Awww, that’s too cute! It’s amazing how children can see right through us (even if they don’t realise it). Your granddaughter is very lucky to have such fantastic grandparents. I’m sure that’s a memory that will stay with you all forever. Thank you for sharing this lovely memory with us!

Jumping Crocodiles
Today’s picture is thanks to member @Big Al. They posted it in our photography forum with the caption, ‘The Adelaide River, near Darwin, is the home of the famous jumping crocodiles. Here is a shot of a large salty jumping for meat off a pole from our boat. A graphic reminder to keep arms and legs inside the boat!’
Oh my goodness, that crocodile is massive! It looks scary, but it is definitely an amazing sight to see. Thank you for sharing this photo with us, @Big Al!
