New and expanded care teams support people in crisisPeople experiencing crisis will soon have access to new Peer Assisted Care Teams in New Westminster and Victoria and an expanded care team on the North Shore thanks to a $1.26-million investment from the Province of BC. This investment is an important step towards more community and health responses for people experiencing crisis.
Ride Don’t Hide is backRide Don’t Hide is the largest mental health bike ride in Canada. In June 2022, thousands of riders across Canada will come together to move for their mental health and for their community. Ride Don’t Hide isn’t just a fundraiser, it's a movement for mental health. Form a team, donate and connect with others through this community event.
Visions Journal: How’s Work?Work can be a source of purpose, meaning, community or a reason to get up and out the door in the morning. But life at work can also be complicated and workers often navigate a variety of challenges. The new issue of Visions highlights different paths and approaches to finding balance and creating wellness through the ups and down of work.
Living Life to the Full for Youth (Online Course)Living Life to the Full for Youth (13-18) is a mental health strength-building course designed to help youth deal with everyday life challenges. This online course takes place every Tuesday, starting May 3, from 4:30 - 6pm, for 9 weeks and is offered for free, due to the generous support of the BC Government.
More Than the SubstanceWe’re sharing messages to help destigmatize substance use, connect youth with resources and reduce harms from the toxic drug supply. We are grateful for the work of youth, health and community partners who guided this project.
