Saturday Edition
Hello, hello, and welcome to the Saturday edition of our newsletter! Of course, it’s a delight to have you with us again. We hope you woke up feeling refreshed and ready for a day filled with fun and relaxation. Whether you’re heading out with friends or family or just enjoying a nice cuppa and a good book at home, we hope you make the most of this beautiful Saturday. I (Vella) will be relaxing and catching up on some sleep. It's been a long time since I've had a chance to just do nothing, and I'm really looking forward to it!
Shall we dive into today’s newsletter? To start things off, let’s answer yesterday’s riddle! So, here it is again:
My mates and I were inseparable until one by one, we were split. The teacher smacked me on the head, and now in the corner, I sit. What am I?
And the answer is… a staple! We bet you didn’t see that one coming! How did you go? If you got it correct, you’ll find a shout-out waiting for at the end of this newsletter.
Now, let’s move on to our next segment, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say.’ Today, we’re taking a look at the term, 'WCW' or 'Woman Crush Wednesday.' This term is used by kids today to show appreciation for a woman they admire. It can be anyone from a celebrity to a significant other. Such posts usually occur on Wednesdays, hence the name, but it’s created simply for alliteration. So, if you have a woman in your life that you admire, make sure to let her know she’s your
WCW!

Remember those old Merry-Go-Rounds in almost every playground back in the day? The creaking sound of the metal as it spun round and round, the feeling of the wind rushing past your face and the exhilaration of holding on tight as it picked up speed. Kids got dizzy, some even got thrown off and injured, but they always went back for more. Kids back then were really built differently, eh?
