ASA-HC IS ENCOURAGING SAFETY ON THE ROAD

A fleet safety program establishes the policies and procedures needed to help ensure a safe work environment for employees. It can also help protect against liability from vehicle accidents. There are no guarantees that an accident will not happen. This is why fleet and vehicle safety training should be a part of every company’s formal safety program. In coordination with ASA-HC member Adams Insurance Service, ASA-HC’s Safety & Health Committee has numerous toolbox talks and webinars directly related to vehicle safety.

At the Houston Food Bank, $10 = 30 Meals

In the spirit of the holiday season, the Houston Food Bank wants you to know how far your donation goes to help fight hunger. For every dollar donated, they can provide three meals. That’s 30 meals for only $10! In the Houston Food Bank’s 18-county service area, there are nearly 1 million food insecure individuals, meaning individuals who cannot afford enough food to fuel a regular healthy lifestyle. In 2021, with the help of the community:

207 million nutritious meals
were made possible

8.5 million meals
were provided to kids through Backpack Buddy, Kids Cafe and School Market programs

91 million pounds
of fresh produce were provided to those in need
