ASEE Surveys - January 2022 Updates and Reminders

Dear Colleagues,

We hope 2022 has been going well for you so far. Please read below for the latest important announcements about our surveys.
 

1. 2021 Profiles Survey - Deadline, Extensions, and more

The 2021 Profiles Survey is approaching the January 31st deadline. 

  • If you need an extension, please let us know ASAP. We will honor extension requests within a certain timeframe as we know there are circumstances that are causing institutions to be delayed in their survey completion. You can email us at data@asee.org for any extension requests, or questions about extensions.
     
  • PDF preview reports for survey data (for in-progress or submitted surveys) are available under the Files tab for you to review the online portion and Excel portion of the survey.
     
  • If you have already completed the survey, we recommend you log in and double check that you have submitted it. To do this, simply access the survey as you did when you were filling it out. If you get a message that the survey is complete, then it has been successfully submitted. But if you are still able to access it and make edits, it has not. You will need to navigate to the last page to submit it.
     
  • We also encourage you to double check everything before submitting it.
     
  • If you have already submitted your Excel portion of the Profiles Survey, please know we are in the process of reviewing these submissions. We may be reaching out to you in the coming weeks with questions or suggestions.
     
  • And, if you have not submitted your Excel file yet, please remember it is a separate submission from the Online portion. Here is the Excel submission link for your convenience: https://shinyapps.asee.org/apps/Upload%20App/ 

2. 2022 Faculty Salary Survey - Opening Announcement and Deadline Announcement

As of January 17th, the 2022 Faculty Salary Survey is open and available on the https://survey.asee.org website. The deadline for the Faculty Salary Survey is April 15th, 2022. Please note the following important details:

  • The Faculty Salary Survey is being hosted on a different site than before, and the old Faculty Salary Survey site will no longer work for you.
     
  • Because the survey is on a different site than it used to be, you may need your designated contact for this survey to create an account and gain permissions to access the survey. You can email us with any requests of this sort or questions about it.
     
  • The old templates for the Faculty Salary Survey will not work on the new site. You must use the new template provided, or use the brand new in-browser tool to complete the survey.
     
  • Instructions have been posted. They are accessible from the webpage, and are here as well for your convenience: https://ira.asee.org/asee-faculty-salary-survey-instructions/
