Last weekend’s WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth was one for the history books, as WWE’s most watched and highest attended Elimination Chamber event ever. More than 52,000 people packed into Optus Stadium on Saturday night – including around 16,000 out-of-state visitors – to watch some of the world’s most famous faces battle it out to a television audience of up to one billion homes across 165 countries, with footage from Western Australia’s tourism regions showcased globally throughout the broadcast. Elimination Chamber: Perth was proudly supported by Tourism WA and has generated millions of dollars in visitor
expenditure for our state. It also placed WA in an unmatched global spotlight across last week as WWE Superstars highlighted their time in Perth to their collective social media audience of more than one billion people, with stars like Rhea Ripley, Logan Paul and Triple H further promoting Perth and Elimination Chamber through a national media blitz across all major news outlets. The unparalleled exposure delivered by WWE for Western Australia will deliver benefits for years to come, as we continue to grow global awareness of our state as a desirable holiday and world-leading events destination. In exciting news for WA’s cruise tourism sector and for
increasing access to the Dream State, the Federal Government will progress the expansion of border services at the Port of Broome after this week approving work to secure First Point of Entry (FPOE) status. An FPOE status for the Port of Broome would be instrumental in growing the cruise sector in both Australia’s North West and across the broader state and will make our state a more attractive cruise destination with a new stop available to add to international cruise itineraries, which will bring more visitors to the Dream State.
