Reimagining Australia's international relations.A platform for collaboration between the development, diplomacy and defence communities.New publicationsLast month was a busy one for AP4D, with two new papers published as part of the Shaping a Shared Future program funded by the Australian Civil-Military Centre. What does it look like for Australia to strengthen its Indian Ocean engagement was launched on 24 April, including remarks from Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs Tim Watts. The paper sets out a vision of enhanced Australian engagement with the countries of the region across all tools of statecraft. On 30 April Ambassador for Cyber Affairs and Critical Technology Brendan Dowling spoke at the symposium for a new paper, What does it look like for Australia to use all tools of statecraft in the information environment. The paper advocates for an information environment defined not just by threats and hazards, but by a positive vision of what Australia wants in relation to security, prosperity, sovereignty, rule of law, equality and freedoms.
