Friday Edition
Good morning ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to another fantastic Friday! Ah, we can feel the weekend coming! Did everyone have a good week? We hope so! This first week of November has been busy because it flew by! Well, no matter how fast the week went, we’re glad it’s Friday. I (Vella) don’t know about you all, but I’m looking forward to a weekend of relaxation. And maybe trying out some stuff I bought recently, including an electric toothbrush (I know, so exciting).
And speaking of trying out new products, @Peppa is asking if anyone knows of any sites that give out free sample products. If you have any ideas, please head over to the thread and let her know! We also wrote an article on BIG W's Trusted Quality program, which lets you review free products, so that might be worth checking out too.
Anyways, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of today’s newsletter, shall we? As always, we’ve got plenty in store for you, lovely members. Let’s start off with our third and final riddle for the week!
What gets longer the more you cut it?
Oooh, this is a good one! We’re stumped, so we’re turning to you, members. If you think you’ve got the answer, head over to the riddle masters thread here. If you get the answer correct, then we will give you a shout-out in tomorrow’s newsletter!

Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is thanks to @featherfour. ‘My favourite summer treat was a Sunny Boy orange ice block. They only cost 5c and seemed to last forever. The best still, though, was when you opened the empty pack to find that you had won a free Sunny Boy! It felt as if they were very generous, sometimes returning day after day for a free icy treat.’
Oh my goodness, there's nothing like a cold, delicious Sunny Boy on a hot summer day! One of Aussie kids' favourite summer treats! Thank you for sharing your childhood memory with us, @featherfour!
