Thursday Edition
Good morning members, and welcome to another happy Thursday. Any big plans for today? As we do every morning, we have something big up our sleeve. We are pretty stoked with our lineup of content today, so without further ado, let's jump right in shall we?
Okay first things first, it’s time to give you all the answer to yesterday's rather incomprehensible riddle. Now, just in case it’s been muddled up in your memory (as it absolutely has in ours), let’s get a quick reminder of what it was!
Nightly, after work, Jim Junior enjoys a drink with three friends, named Senior, Younger and Older. "Who's the youngest of the four?" the manager asked the barman.
He replied: "Senior is not senior to Older. What's more, neither of the drinkers, junior to Younger, is senior to Junior." Can you name the youngest man?
Well? Can you (or did you rather) name the youngest man? To be absolutely honest, we didn’t have the slightest clue. The youngest man was… Senior! In ascending order of age, his friends were Older, Younger and Junior. Even with the answer we’re still a little confused. However, if you got the answer right (and there were a few of you who did), continue reading on to spot a shoutout with your name on it (literally). If you’re on this list, give yourself a pat on the back, you really earned it!
Next up on the agenda folks is our Fascinating Fact for the week!
Now we’re sure you’ve heard the term ‘it’s raining cats and dogs’ before. But we bet you’ve never heard the term ‘it’s raining fish’. Well, whilst it may not be a common saying, you might be surprised to learn that fish rain does actually happen. In the Honduran city of Yoro, there is an event known as “the Rain of Fish”, where hundreds of fish plummet from the clouds. How do the fish even get up there you might ask? Well it turns out that small fish, crabs and other creatures are swept up into the sky by water spouts caused by wild weather. And as another old saying goes: ‘what goes up, must come down’.
Now then members, what’s happening in Australia and around the world in the news today?

And finally, do your grandkids not eat their sandwich crusts? Well one mum has devised a clever hack to get them digging in.
And that’s that for the wrap of the day ladies and gents! We implore you to stick around just a little while longer however, as we have an absolutely chokka block lineup of stuff for you to sink your teeth into! Like today’s joke which was brought to us by member Marie Ann.
Oh, one last thing before we go. Today is the last day for you to submit a phtoto to the SDC photo competition! If you haven't yet, head over here ASAP and post a picture with a description of said picture, for your chance to win a $100 voucher for Coles or Woolies.
The winner will be announced tomorrow, so hurry up and get uploading eh?
Now most importantly members, and as always, stay safe and happy reading.
- Jonathan, Vella, Sean, James, Dan & Maddie.

Nothing quite says “I love you” this Valentine's Day like a homemade dinner. So, if you are planning a romantic night in with your partner, a friend, your grandchildren, or even just yourself, one of our favourite supermarkets has introduced a new treat to help you plan your Valentine's Day menu. The best part is that it costs only $2.49!
Aldi is selling frozen Potato Hearts that can be easily cooked in an air fryer or oven. Customers are rushing to their local Aldi stores to get their hands on the new treat, which some say would make the perfect Valentine's Day meal. The treat is already flying off the shelves as it’s only available for a limited time.

There were two Irish men on a flight.
As they were getting close to their destination, the pilot announced a delay in landing as one engine had shut down, but not to panic as there were three more engines.
That announcement was followed with “I’m so sorry but, there will be another slight delay in landing as another engine has shut down."
