        Letter from the Executive Director

I am excited to share that Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta’s Annual Report for 2022 is now available, highlighting the incredible achievements and progress we made together last year.  Our amazing donors, volunteers, and staff enabled us to provide
vital legal services to nearly 300 nonprofit organizations in need, empowering them to make an even greater difference in our community.  Also, PBPA is finalizing a new strategic plan which will guide our work for the next four years. One of our key areas of focus is finding ways to better serve nonprofits in all stages of development, including emerging nonprofits with limited staff and funding.  Building on the success of our Black-led Nonprofit Legal Bootcamp, PBPA is excited to develop additional group services as part of our new strategic plan. These services, developed based on client feedback and with
the expertise of the PBPA staff and volunteer attorneys, will provide right-sized legal support for small organizations to meet them where they are.   As we reflect on our accomplishments last year and look to the future, we ask you to consider supporting PBPA with a personal donation and/or as a legal volunteer.  Volunteers and donors are what allow us to sustain and expand our programs, ultimately benefiting more nonprofit organizations and the millions of people they serve.
Thank you for your support and belief in our mission.

From: Adoption DiscoveryTo: Rachel Fink (Holland & Knight)
I wanted to thank you for your patience and guidance with our name change process. I really don't think most attorneys know how integral help like this really is for the success of our non-profit. We can very easily spend our time and small funding on things like name changes or other matters and not be able to help the families and children we serve. This name change in particular will help us secure donations with immediate name recognition. With help from generous attorneys willing to lend their expertise and support, we can stay on mission and have someone guide us through the things that are not our expertise.
From: Lydia's PlaceTo: Annette Idalski (Seyfarth Shaw) and Delbert Winn (QuesTech International)
Thank you so much for taking the time to work with Allyson and I on preparing our Employee Handbook for Lydia's Place. We are both so grateful. This was a huge task for us and you two made it so easy. I am very relieved to have this document in place and I certainly learned a lot in our discussion on Friday. Thank you again for providing us with your service and time. We are so appreciative.
From: Atlanta Children's ShelterTo: David Kelly (Barnes & Thornburg)
Thank you so much for your recent assistance crafting a Parental Release Form for the Atlanta Children’s Shelter. Your draft form addressed our situation and our needs perfectly and we have implemented it. Your knowledgeable and thoughtful guidance enabled us to clarify our policy and practice with both staff and clients, and the form serves as the basis of that understanding. We are enthusiastic consumers of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta and so grateful that attorneys like you generously donate time and talent to build the capacity of local nonprofits.

Rhinos, Rangers, and Royalty: PBPA Assists Global Conservation Corps and Attends Documentary Premiere Hosted by Prince William

Our clients often come to us needing help with a specific item, and soon we are assisting them with other matters. However, our work has never had us rub elbows with members of the British royal family working to help save rhinos in South Africa – until recently.
