Our programOn Thursday 28 September, 1:00-2:00pm (AEST) AP4D will host an interactive dialogue to explore how Australia can use and coordinate its tools of statecraft to proactively shape the information space - taking advantage of the opportunities and addressing the risks. On 30 August AP4D launched the paper What does it look like for Australia to be a partner on Maritime Safety with the Pacific – the culmination of four months of consultations with almost 30 experts from Australia and the Pacific. The paper outlines how Australia can partner with the Pacific to build on existing programs and strengthen maritime safety in the region by leveraging the expertise and capacity of regional organisations and other partners. On 8 September AP4D was pleased to be joined by Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Birmingham to launch the paper What does it look like for Australia to be a partner for infrastructure with the Pacific and Southeast Asia. The paper sets out the perspectives of Australia’s international policy communities on infrastructure, identifies key risks and opportunities, and outlines a set of high-level principles for partnering with the region.
