Saturday Edition
Good morning members, and happy Saturday! How are we all feeling this morning? If you ask us, we're excited. Not only because it's the weekend, but also because we have a jam-packed newsletter for you! So get yourself comfortable with a nice cuppa and some cheeky bikkies as we dive right into the ocean of stuff we have for you today.
Now before we get too carried away, let’s reveal the answer to yesterday’s riddle. So what was it again?
If you toss three coins into the air at the same time, what are the chances that at least two coins will finish up heads?
And the answer to this one is… 50/50 or 4/8. How did we solve it? When we toss three coins in the air, there are eight sets of all possible outcomes: HHH, HHT, HTH, THH, TTH, THT, HTT, and TTT. We can see that HHH, HHT, HTH, and THH all have at least two heads. As a result, four out of eight outcomes have at least two heads. Whew! That riddle needed some problem-solving skills, didn't it? What a good brain teaser to sharpen your mind. You're welcome! If you got it correct you'll find a shoutout waiting for you further down this newsletter. Thanks again to @Vinylted for sharing this one.
Now onto our next segment for the day, ‘What Would the Grandkids Say?’ Today’s term is ‘rent-free’. If you can’t stop thinking about someone, it sounds like they’re living ‘rent-free’ in your mind. This term is often used when you can’t get something out of your head, whether it’s a person, a song, a video, or an experience. They’re stuck in your head, and they’re not even paying for the space they’re occupying! So, next time you think about your grand kids, why don't you give them a call and let them know they're living in your head rent-free 😉
Oh one more thing before we get into the news, check out today’s Aldi Special Buys! There are a bunch of goodies here including some kitchen essentials. So don’t forget to browse them!

Remember the two-in-one ice creams by Peters? This was a real treat for the kids back in the day. What made it even more enjoyable was that you could break it in two and share it with a friend or sibling.

Oven racks have to be one of the most difficult and time-consuming items to clean in the kitchen. They require careful scrubbing to avoid sending gunky soap flying. Not to mention they're cumbersome, meaning sometimes they don’t fit in your sink, so you end up having to clean them somewhere else. Not to mention, the longer you wait to clean them, the more difficult it is to remove the layers of burnt-on grease and charred food bits (we’re guilty of this!)
But one mum had had enough and wanted her oven racks to be cleaned quickly and effectively. That is why she chose a rather 'extreme' method of cleaning them. She shared how she transformed her grimy oven racks into like-new condition without the elbow grease! Who would have thought cleaning dirty racks could be this easy? Check out her hack by clicking the button below.

Maddie here! I actually got this nice mirror for my bathroom a few years back and it’s still there, looking as good as the day I bought it! It’s designed with a timeless look and is the perfect decor to add to any bathroom, bedroom or living area to “spruce” it up a bit. Rottnest Island is known worldwide to be the home of the happiest animal on Earth – the Quokka (Setonix brachyurus). The Quokka is the only native mammal on Rottnest and, apart from a small colony on the mainland, cannot be found elsewhere on Earth. In fact, these little marsupials are the mistaken namesake of the island, as Dutch explorers’ thought the Quokkas were giant rats and proclaimed it as ’t Eylandt ’t Rottenest (“Rats’ Nest Island”).
