NEWS UPDATE20 October 2023 Publishers noteThis is a milestone week for Marine Business News. On Sunday, we will celebrate the second anniversary of our relaunch. Of course, many of you know that Marine Business News started in 1989, and I had the honour of acquiring this masthead from the Yaffa Family in early 2021. I made a pledge then that we would work hard to bring you the latest in news, education, information, and entertainment. We hope we have done that well for you. Our second milestone for this week is that we have surpassed 2,500 stories published since our relaunch on October 22, 2021. We have days when news is thin, but pleasingly, most are blessed with a great flow of news that we very much enjoy bringing to you. Since our launch, we have been able to fulfill our commitment to publish every working day. Furthermore, breaking news occasionally allows us to also do so on weekends and holidays. As the publisher, I reserve the right to select the week's stories that go into the Friday newsletter, and I do so most weeks. However, I am pleased that the team is passionate and will argue and press for a particular inclusion they want. Selecting stories for the Friday newsletter is challenging, with typically less than 30% of what we publish during the week making the cut. As such, I urge you to visit our website at MarineBusinessNews.com.au to get full coverage of what we have to offer. Marine Business News is an Australian-owned marine industry news service publishing local and international news. If you have news stories you would like to share, please let us know by contacting our newsroom via our email at NewsRoom@MarineBusinessNews.com.au. We invite you to look at the many more stories on our website not seen in this newsletter, as well as links to resources, photo libraries, reviews, our international events calendar, our jobs board, and now an eNews log of our past Friday newsletters.
