Sunday Edition

Good morning

Good Morning Members! And a very happy Sunday to you lovely lot. I hope you’re all having an easy Sunday morning with a cuppa in one hand and your favourite breakfast in the other. I know I’ll be reading this with my cappuccino in one hand and maybe an almond croissant in the other, because I tell you what members, I’ve been enjoying a cheeky croissant on the weekends lately… Because you know, we should treat ourselves whenever we can!

Any who, we aren’t here to talk about my breakfast preferences, we are here to get stuck into the quote of the week, so here’s what I found for you all this week:

“Life is tough but so are you.”

I think this quote speaks for itself. I don’t really need to add much to it, or break it down and explain it to you. There are a lot of members in our community who are going through some really tough times and I just want each and every one of you to know that yes, life is tough, but so are you. You’ve been through tough times before and you’ve gotten through it, and this time, you have a whole online community who wants to support you and make sure you get through it - so just keep this in mind next time the fight feels a little tougher than usual.

Now what happened across Australia and around the world this week?

• This week, Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, and IGA gave us some fantastic deals, including Family Faves Chicken Tenders, D’Orsogna Chorizo, McCain Ultra-Thin Crust Pizza (Yum!), and some winter sleepwear. These deals are still available today, so be sure to check them out!
• These showers were BIG in the 1970s, but it seems the younger generation think they are ‘creepy’. What’s your take?
• Scam alert: Authorities warned us about a new wave of scams aimed at Aussies who have previously been victims of cybercrime. Be careful, members!
• Is it time to ditch Coles and Woolworths? We saw a viral photo that people claim demonstrates why shopping at independent stores is much better than going to major supermarkets.
• We also gave you everything you need to know about the $250 cost of living payment under the new Federal Budget and how to get it.
• Coles was slammed by outraged shoppers for a ‘racist’ supermarket sign. Here's what Coles has to say about it.
• One mum shared the secret $1 Kmart item that helped her small business become a huge success.
• Woolworths launched a delicious new baking range that customers are loving!

• And finally, Coles and Woolworths announced that they’re bringing back a popular deal that sparked a frenzy when it first launched.
