I am so excited to invite each of you to the 2026 TLA Annual Conference.

The 2026 theme, “Cultivating Community, Thriving Together,” was inspired by TLA members and their libraries across the state and all that they bring to the organization and profession: the wide range of ideas, backgrounds, and experiences.

My hope is that when you join us in Houston, no matter the stage of your career or professional development, you will find what you need to help you thrive – whether it be in the education and ideas, the networking and connection, or the support and strength.

Book early to secure your preferred hotel for TLA 2026. Reserve through our official provider, onPeak, in the TLA block for the best selection and price. Attendees staying more than ½ mile from the convention center who register and book through onPeak’s housing site by March 6, 2026, are eligible for Lyft credits. 

Stipends to Attend

If you are a TLA member, stipends - offered through TLA districts, divisions, and roundtables -may be available to help with the cost of attending Annual Conference. You must be a member of the TLA district, division, or roundtable offering the stipend opportunity to apply for consideration. 

Cultivate and Connect: Poster Sessions

Present a Poster Session at TLA 2026 and showcase your research, projects, or innovative concepts and connect with peers. Graduate students, early-career professionals, librarians, researchers, and others are encouraged to submit a proposal for consideration by January 6, 2026.
