NEW Canasta class in 2026

We’ve received lots of requests to start a Canasta card group in 2026 — a friendly space for people to meet up, chat and enjoy a few games of Canasta together.

We’re now looking for a volunteer coordinator to help bring the group to life. If you love card games and meeting new people, we’d love to hear from you. Get in touch with us to find out more.

Lions Christmas Cakes are BACK! 

It's that time again... we're selling Christmas Cakes for the Lions Club. The Lions Club support various groups and projects in the community, so you'll be giving to a good cause this festive season. We have three sizes available at the office. To reserve a cake (or two, or three) you can email us, call the office on 03 9836 7942 or just drop in!

Have you seen our latest exhibition in the upstairs Art Space? Before I turn 100 invites you to reflect, dream and share your hopes for the future. This interactive community arts project is a joyful celebration of ageing and the stories that connect us all.

Spring has sprung in the Community Garden

The garden is looking fantastic this spring, with plants and produce thriving thanks to Melbourne’s recent winter/spring/summer weather! If you’re interested in having your own plot, please contact the Centre to join the short wait list.

Priority enrolments will open between 1 - 15 December. If you currently attend a class at BCC and would like to secure your spot in 2026, keep an eye on your inbox in December for the link. The 2026 Course brochure will be available at this time too of you are interested in trying something new!
