It’s lights, camera, action in Western Australia this week, with filming officially underway for Home and Away’s special WA episodes. Filming for the iconic Australian television series is taking place at a range of locations across our Dream State, starting right here in Perth, showcasing WA’s breathtaking coastal scenery, rugged outback, and unique tourism destinations to millions of viewers around the world. Premiering in 2026, the special episodes will promote WA’s diverse tourism offerings to audiences in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and more than 60 global markets. With a strong UK fanbase and the UK being WA’s largest
international visitor market by visitor numbers, this Home and Away special presents a prime opportunity for travellers to discover WA’s stunning destinations through the show’s lens. Speaking of the UK, next May, an Australian garden will feature at the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show in London, thanks to a partnership between Tourism WA, Journey Beyond, and the South Australian Tourism Commission. With more than 140,000 visitors expected to visit the garden and a further 22 million viewers estimated to tune in to the BBC’s coverage of it, the event offers a prime opportunity to showcase WA to high-yield, travel-focused audiences. Warm regards, Tourism WA Executive
Management Team.
