![]() Week of June 26, 2023SWEETWATER PAVILION CONSTRUCTION The renovation project in the Sweetwater Pavilion is in its final phase this week. The main Sweetwater entrance is currently closed. It will remain blocked until Friday, June 30. There are signs in the area directing patients and employees around the closure. The main alternate entrance will be the Breast Care Center. Patients and employees will use this entrance to get to: Imaging, Childbirth Center, Breast Care Center and MOB 2. Signs with directions to MOB 1 and Brazos will also be in place. We appreciate your patience as this renovation project wraps up. Barrier gate arms are being installed to add security for employee parking. Right now, there is nothing you need to do. More information on our new garage systems and parking will be released in the coming weeks. We hope it will make parking more convenient and safer for you and our patients. ![]() ![]() Welcome Dr. FigueredoHouston Methodist Primary Care Group is pleased to announce Giovanna Figueredo, M.D. has joined the Brooks Street clinic. A board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Figueredo offers clinical expertise in acute and chronic condition management, including diabetes, depression and anxiety and thyroid concerns. It is one of two key Eids (celebration festivals) in Islamic Culture. Many mark the holiday through the act of Qurbani (sacrifice). Celebrations also include giving thanks, exchanging gifts, sharing food and gathering with friends and family. The Arab Heritage ERG wants to wish those who celebrate a Happy Eid al-Adha. Celebrating PRIDEThousands of people filled the streets this weekend for the Houston Pride Parade. Houston Methodist was proud to be a first time sponsor of the event. Preventable injuries, known as “accidents”, are the fourth leading cause of U.S. deaths. While safety is important year-round, June highlights the efforts to prevent injury and death in the workplace and at home. There are too many nurses to state all of their names, however, Leah Doyle was my last nurse that I remember and she was top notch. ALL of the nurses were trained and were outstanding."
