Thursday Edition
And happy Fri... wait, what day is it today? Oh, right, Thursday! Happy Thursday, members! We’re not going to lie, we’re pretty excited for the weekend. It's always nice to have something to look forward to, isn't it? But that does not mean that we should skimp on today's activities! Every day is a new opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun, so let's make the most of it, shall we? We'll start off with our daily good morning in a different language. Today's language recommendation is Indonesian/Malay, courtesy of member Julia H. Thanks Julia! Here we go: Selamat Pagi (suh-lah-mut-pah-gee), members!
Now, let’s give you the answer to yesterday's riddle. For those of you who don't remember, the riddle goes:
A cowboy rode into town on Friday, stayed three days, and rode out again on Friday. How did he do that?
Did you get it? The answer is that his horse's name was Friday! Wow, that was a tough one, but a lot of you got it correct. Great job! If you got it right, stick around, and you’ll find a shout-out waiting for you at the end of the newsletter.
Next up on the agenda, folks, is our Fascinating Fact for the week!
Did you know that tennis was originally played with bare hands? In fact, the game was called ‘lawn tennis’ because it was played on lawns with the players using their bare hands to hit the ball. It wasn’t until 1874 that someone had the bright idea to add a racket to the game, and the game of tennis as we know it today was born. Isn't that fascinating?
