Customer Star Awards 2024

This month, we hosted our annual Star Awards. It was a night of glitz, glamour, and, most of all, celebration. The awards recognise our customers' personal achievements and the dedication and passion of community groups across Stockport.

This year, over 60 nominations were made for individuals and groups across five categories.

Congratulations to all the winners and everyone nominated!

Rent and Service Charge Proposals

Each year, Stockport Council ask for tenants' feedback on the proposed rent and service charges which take effect the following year.

The Rent and Service Charge Proposal will be open for your comments from Friday 8th November until 22nd November.

Tenant's comments will be incorporated into the final recommendation which will be considered by the Council’s Scrutiny Committee and Cabinet.

Any approved changes to rents and service charges will then be implemented from April 2025.

Christmas Fire Safety

Christmas might still feel a while away but it soon comes around! When thinking about how you are going to decorate your home this Christmas, we want to make sure you do so safely, please follow these tips to stay safe at home during Christmas:

  • Never place candles near your Christmas tree or materials that can catch alight easily.
  • Keep candles, lighters and matches out of children’s reach. Never leave lit candles unattended.
  • Never overload electrical sockets (including extension leads), and always switch Christmas lights off and make sure you unplug them before you go out or go to bed. Check your Christmas tree lights carry the British Safety sign.
  • Decorations can burn easily so don’t attach them to lights or heaters. Please do not attach Christmas decorations to your front door.
