Sunday Edition
Well hello there members and welcome once again to a lovely Sunday morning. With Australia Day just having passed and tons of news, hacks and discounts being slung your way day after day, we have decided to drop it down a gear and get a little bit more mellow, so that we can reflect and take a look at the week that was. So sit back, grab that cuppa you’ve all been craving, relax and enjoy.
Now, what’s happening in Australia and around the world today?
-
This week, Coles, Woolies, Aldi and IGA gave us some fantastic deals like Oreo Cream Biscuits, Mars, Nestle or Violet Crumble Bars, some $2 beauty essentials, and some household cleaning products. You can still score these bargains today!
-
We also learnt of a mind-blowing hack for cooking the ultimate rissoles. This is one we're going to have to use ourselves!
-
Good news, members! Rapid Antigen Tests are now available to those who hold a concession card. So how many are you entitled to, and how do you get them?
-
Member @Vinylted shared not one but two hilarious jokes that had us in stitches. Members, get ready to laugh out loud!
-
A chef shared with us the $4 Woolworths wonder product she swears by for a sparkling BBQ, and… no scrubbing needed!
-
We also learnt how to spice up the look of our kitchens with a modern twist, and pretty much for free using this bunnings hack.
-
An ex-Macca’s worker released some juicy hacks for you to use on your next trip to the golden arches, including the menu item that you can get for free (if you're into it, that is...)
-
Aldi fans went nuts for this product, perfect for relieving the tension from every spot on your body. Members, run, don’t walk because it’s flying off the shelves!
-
DIY experts shared a hack alongside a budget Kmart item to create the ultimate room feature.
-
One Woolies worker’s revenge prank on rude customers received massive backlash
-
And finally, shoppers rushed to snap up this Aldi special buy keeping users comfortable all around the country.
And that’s that for the news of the week. How was your trip down short term memory lane members? Any stories that really tickled your fancy? They all did for us, if we’re honest.
Now that we’ve eased into things, and have properly woken up on our lazy sunday morning, we have plenty more good stuff in store for you further down, including a crude but hilarious joke and a stunning photo of the day thanks to member @Robdog, that leaves us wanting a beach holiday!
Oh! And seeing January is starting to come to a close (can you believe it?!) don’t forget to upload your photos to our photo competition. You don’t need to be a photographer to enter, just upload a photo taken by you for your chance to win a $100 Coles or Woolies voucher! We will draw the winner on February 11th. Click here and head over to the competiton thread!
As always, stay safe everyone, and happy reading!

Who ever attended a slide night? Maybe you came back from a long holiday and you or your parents wanted to show off all the fantastic pictures that were taken. Or perhaps you went and saw your friends and families pictures? It's a shame that slide nights aren't popular anymore, they were a great excuse for a catch up and time to reminisce about fun times!

How good is a rissole! As stated in the 1997 classic Aussie flick 'The Castle', "everybody cooks rissoles darl". The one downside of these bite sized beef (or other substitute) cakes is the clean up. Cooking these bad boys often leads to burnt on crud and muck on your pans, which takes an age and a second set of arms to clean off!
But that sounds horrible, and we are fed up with the process. So today, we are sharing with you a hack we found on cooking the ultimate rissole!

Compare Health Cover Now*
Health insurance rates are going up again this April, with Aussies already paying an average of $230.26 more for their health insurance since the 2021 price hikes. It is not yet known how much more they will be paying in 2022.
But what few people realise is that there are government rebates out there that could save you hundreds of dollars per year on your cover*. For eligible Aussies, the starting cost of a combined hospital & extras policy comes in at under $23 / week (or $3.22 per day) once the rebate has been claimed.
Select your health insurer to see if you're eligible for the latest government rebates to get health insurance from under $23 a week.
