G’day, g’day, members! Welcome to another marvellous Saturday! I (Vella) couldn't be happier to be here with you again to kickstart your weekend. Aren't Saturdays just the best? A chance to take a step back from the daily grind, enjoy a little downtime, and maybe even indulge in a delicious meal with loved ones. What are your plans for the day? As for me, I've got a date with IKEA today! Yes, I'm diving into the world of furniture and home decor because, let's be honest, there's something therapeutic about strolling through those sprawling showrooms — no shopping pressure, just taking in the design inspiration. Although I must confess, I can never resist a plate of their famous Swedish meatballs once my feet ache from all the exploring. Speaking of homes, I've got a question for you: What part of your humble abode is your absolute favourite? For me, it's got to be the bathroom. Oh yes, I'm one of those folks who can spend an hour there, indulging in a bit of self-care, belting out tunes, and enjoying the serenity. How about you? Which corner of your home brings you the most joy and relaxation? Share your favourite spaces with us on our forum here.
But enough about me, let's move on to today's activities, shall we? First, it's time to reveal the answer to yesterday's riddle.
I dig out tiny caves and store gold and silver in them. I also build bridges of silver and make crowns of gold. They are the smallest you could imagine. Sooner or later, everybody needs my help, yet many people are afraid to let me help them. Who am I?
Did you figure it out? I am a dentist! You, folks, are a clever bunch! You ate this riddle up like it was lolly! If you got the answer correct, keep scrolling to find a shout-out just for you at the bottom of the newsletter.
Now, on to our next segment, 'What Would the Grandkids Say?' Today, we are looking at the phrase 'And I oop'. This is a popular phrase used to express shock, surprise or embarrassment. It can be used to react to something so unexpected that you can't even process it. For example, if you see your grandkid doing something they're not supposed to be doing, you might say, 'And I oop!' in shock. So there you have it! The next time something catches you off guard, just say this phrase, and you'll fit right in with the youngsters.
