ASEE Surveys - April 2022 Updates and Announcements

Dear Colleagues,

Please see below for the latest announcements from the Institutional Research & Analytics department at ASEE.

1. Faculty Salary Survey - Date Extended

We have extended the deadline for the current Faculty Salary Survey. The new due date is Friday April 29, 2022, to accommodate extension requests we have received.

As a reminder, the Faculty Salary Survey is now on the https://survey.asee.org website, and is no longer on the previous site.

The instructions are here: https://ira.asee.org/asee-faculty-salary-survey-instructions/

In order to see the survey on the website, we need to add that role to your account.  Please email data@asee.org to request this if other EDMS users need access.

The national reports for the Faculty Salary Survey will be available in early May (and are free for participating institutions). The peer reporting tool for institutions which have purchased access will also be available in early May. Instructions for the new system will be provided when the tool is online.

2. Profiles Survey - End-of-Year Survey

The 2021 Profiles Survey is wrapping up, and the IRA is going to debrief and discuss improvements and changes for next cycle. We invite you to participate in this by filling out the following survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KV9ZVWS

First, we are seeking input to evaluate possible changes for Profiles 2022. We plan to report the results from this survey (and the separate survey of the deans) this summer. We will present preliminary results to our leadership bodies and advisory board to discuss the changes outlined below. Any final changes for the Profiles 2022 survey will be announced in August 2022.

Second, we are looking to better understand the staffing and tools used by offices that submit the Profiles Survey data. We will then build programming (webinars, virtual chats, etc.) for the community, and to build tools/data products to better serve our participants.

Thank you for your time. As always, please contact data@asee.org for any questions about the above.

Take care,

The IRA Team
