PUT DOWN ROOTS: PARKWAY TREE PLANTING PROGRAM

The Village offers residents the opportunity to add landscape-sized trees to the parkway in front of their property. Through our partnership with Suburban Tree Consortium, we’re able to offer a variety of tree species selected to thrive in our community and enhance your home’s surroundings.

Planting a tree comes with lasting benefits, including:

  • Lower energy costs by providing shade and cooling your home
  • Cleaner air as trees help filter pollution
  • Reduced noise with natural sound buffering
  • Increased property value (by an estimated 12-20%)
  • Increased psychological benefits

The Village will supply and professionally install the tree after you meet with the Village Forester to choose the best option for your parkway. The cost share is $175, which is a fraction of the retail price for a fully planted landscape tree. Learn more about available tree options and how to participate below.
