NEWS UPDATE

28 April 2023

Publishers note

Boat Shows and events are in the news this week with BIA Victoria kicking it off with the Discover Boating End of Season Run Out this weekend at St Kilda Marina. They are promising waterfront displays, boats on the marina, sea trials and free entry. Best wishes for a successful event.

Elsewhere, the Sanctuary Cove and Sydney Shows are both generating plenty of news about their features, attractions, special events and new releases. It’s a good time of year for the industry. Boat Shows provide the industry with a much grander portfolio of benefits that are sometimes immediately recognised.

In news from the sporting front, Australian sailing legend Iain Murray AM this October will be inducted into the America’s Cup Hall of Fame, recognising the service of one of the competition’s most respected competitors, designers and officials. Congratulations Iain.

On the subject of sailing, congratulations also to all those involved with the many sailing events around Australia. This week we shared the news from Port Stephens on the NSW coast, where Sail Port Stephens is hosting several events.  Whilst part one of their festivities ends this week, further competition will occur during May.

You may have noticed that over recent months NSW Marine Rescue has come to life with an excellent flow of information, keeping us informed about their activities, successes, and future plans. We love the news and encourage them to keep us in the know. That said, we also recognise the excellent work and effort delivered by the many many other volunteers rescue groups around Australia. Their work is no less important and Marine Business News invites you to share your news as well. If you have news, we would be delighted to share it with our readers.
