Tuesday Edition
Good morning, members, or as they would say in Korea, ‘Joeun achimieyo’. Welcome to another beautiful Tuesday morning! We hope you're all feeling good and ready for another day full of fun, laughter, and maybe a little learning too! We've got a lot of great stuff lined up for you today, so let's dive right in, shall we?
First up, let's answer yesterday's riddle!
A man was driving a black truck, his lights were not on, the moon was not out, and a lady was crossing the road. How did he see her?
We thought this one would stump most of you, but we were so wrong. A lot of you figured out that the answer is ‘it was a bright sunny day’! Why? The man didn't need his lights on because it was daytime, and he could see the lady crossing the road just fine. The moon wasn't out because it was daytime as well. If you got this one correct, scroll down to the bottom of this newsletter for your shoutout!
Now then, what's happening in Australia and around the world today?

Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is thanks to member @Chris Hadd, who shared a lovely memory about his time with elephants. ‘My grandkids will never do this. Take elephants for a walk in a suburban street. Perry's Circus had their depot behind our house in Beaumaris, VIC. As a five-year-old, my days were spent cuddling the trunks of Ginny and Topsy and taking them for a stroll around the unmade streets for daily exercise. Occasionally, we would call Tex, the trainer, to bring an elephant to push a bogged car. This is how it was
always done, or so I thought. I realised years later that my childhood was unique. Elephants are my favourite animal.’
That's so amazing that you got to take elephants for walks when you were a kid! It's something that most kids nowadays would never get to do. It sounds like you had a really unique childhood, and it's clear that you have a genuine love for elephants! Thank you, @Chris Hadd, for sharing your lovely memory with us!
