Weekly 2023 Session Updates Join Zero to Five Montana's Policy Team for weekly updates on the 2023 Montana Legislative Session. These weekly calls will provide a recap of the week on topics that touch on early childhood, bill status updates, opportunities to take action, strategy and more. HB 187, a bill to establish that child care is a residential use of property, aims to help increase the number of child care providers in the state and boost access to care for families. Zero to Five Montana partnership featured Zero to Five Montana Executive Director Caitlin Jensen was invited to speak at the 63rd Annual Meeting of the Montana Council of Cooperatives on Jan. 9 in Helena. She joined Tracy McIntyre, Montana Cooperative Development Center (MCDC) executive director, and panelist Lyndsay Larson of the Montana Food Hub, in a conversation about successful partnerships related to cooperative models. Last year, Zero to Five Montana and MCDC joined forces on the Community & Business Child Care Innovation Pilot project and are continuing that partnership through the Montana Child Care Business Connect community capacity building project.
