Publishers note

No doubt most of the industry have their minds firmly on next week.   For many, this week brings opportunity, new insights, and further inspiration to help nurture their businesses.

The last two years have been an enigma and it will be imperative that businesses don’t rest on their laurels from the positive strides and success made over this period.  I clearly remember an early lesson I learnt from the late Peter Hunt who told me during a particular challenging time for our industry, that “we will have times when business is good, and times when business is bad.   Those that survive are those that can anticipate and adapt to changing market conditions”.

By no means am I suggesting you should not bask in the success our industry has had for the last two years, we should.  What I am suggesting is that as a business, you should consider what may lay ahead.  Be prepared and be business ready to adapt.

One of the best sources of market intelligence are industry conferences, the excellent speakers, your peers and simply listening to others speak about what they are doing.  We have two conferences on our doorstep.  Look at the speaker line-up, look at the subject matter, and if you can attend, do so, it’s not too late to book.

I’ll be there.  If you are attending, please say hello.
