Updates for higher education providers

Thank you to the 39 higher education providers that have submitted their Expressions of Interest and confirmed scholarship numbers.

The deadline for confirmation of Expressions of Interest is Wednesday 25 May.

Join us for a webinar (on MS Teams) this Thursday, 26 May at 15.00 for a presentation and discussion on the application process for Full Degree awards. A recording will be available after the webinar.

This will be our last general communication about the programme via the alert list. We will subsequently communicate to the group of HEPs that have expressed interest and are participating in the programme.

Applications from current students for In-Year awards have now closed.

This week we will contact HEPs to confirm their applicant(s) and to confirm award numbers.

We have received some applications for HEPs that have not yet confirmed participation in the scheme. We will contact these HEPs to confirm whether these applications can be supported.

We are asking HEPs for responses to confirm applications so that grant agreements can be prepared and funding for stipends released as soon as possible.

A reminder that the deadlines for scholars to apply to participating HEPs for Full Degree awards is as follows:

Undergraduate and master's: 10 June 2022
PhD: 17 June 2022

Two weeks after each of these deadlines, we will ask you for confirmation of which scholars have been offered places and can be sponsored by your institution.

We will be hosting a new webinar for participating HEPs to provide further information focusing on application process, timelines and the requirements for HEPs. The format will be a short presentation followed by Q&A.
