September 2023 newsletter from St Petroc's School Nursery!
Dear Parents & Carers,
The new school year has got off to a great start and the time seems to be whizzing by. We are having lots of fun!
You may have seen us at Holsworthy Show at the end of August? We had a great day, meeting and chatting with lots of people and telling them all about our wonderful setting. We had a face painting lady on our stand for the day, so it was brilliant to see so many wild and wonderful creatures wandering around the showground after they had visited us!
Don't forget that October half term will soon be upon us, so if you haven't already booked your Holiday Club place, please contact the setting as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. You'll see on the poster below the exciting Halloween activities we have planned for that week.

How we help to prepare our children for their transition to Primary School
We believe that it is never too early to start preparing your child for their all important transition to Primary School, as the jump can feel very big if they are underprepared. It can be daunting for parents too, but it marks the start of an exciting new chapter of learning, discovery and your child's increased independence.
Term dates for the new 2023/24 academic year

Shaving foam fun!
Lots of fun and laughter was had playing with shaving foam! Such a great sensory activity, which allows the children to have a go at mark making, drawing and writing in a really fun, tactile way.
Important dates for your diary
Monday 13th November - we will be making spotfantastic cookies and dressing up to raise money for Children in Need.
Saturday 2nd December (12pm - 2pm) - we will be holding a Christmas Fun Day. More details to follow in due course.
