Harper’s is pleased to present the second exhibition curated by Leslie Weissman at Harper’s Apartment, Disappearing Boundaries. Weissman’s independent curatorial vision has played an important role in championing emerging artists, and the gallery is delighted to provide a platform in support of her ongoing curatorial initiatives. Please join us tomorrow, January 14, from 6–8pm for light refreshments at the opening reception.

Sunny Moxin Chen (b. Moscow, RU) received an MFA from Boston University in 2022, and a BFA from Massachusettes College of Art in 2019; she has participted in numerous artist residencies at institutions, including Chautauqua Visual Arts, Chautauqua, NY; Soaring Gardens Artist Retreat, Laceyville, PA; and Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, VT. Most recently, Chen’s work has been exhibited at The Factory, Long Island City (2025); ART021, Beijing (2025 and 2023); Zhejing Saili Art Museum, Hangzhou, CN (2024); On The Fringe Gallery, New York (2024); Soil Gallery, Seattle (2024); Yiwei Gallery, Los Angeles (2023); and Abigail Oglivy Gallery, Boston (2022). Chen lives and works in New York City.

Charlotte Hailstone (b. 1994) received a BFA from Parsons School of Design in 2016. Recently, Hailstone’s work has been exhibited at Harper’s, New York (2025 and 2024); The Hole, New York (2025); Fleiss-Vallois Gallery, New York (2025); Salon 21, New York (2025); Marinaro, New York (2025); Ruby/Dakota Gallery, New York (2025); Ruttkowski;68, New York (2023); and 13th Storey, New York (2023). She lives and works in New York City.

Soren Hope (b. 1993, Long Island, NY) received an MFA from Yale University in 2023, and a BFA from Carleton College in 2015. Most recently, their work has been exhibited at New York Life Gallery, New York (2025); Perrotin, New York (2024 and 2023); Yve Yang Gallery, New York (2023); Green Shutter House, New Haven, CT (2022); Arts Center at Duck Creek, The Springs, NY (2018); and Ghost Gallery, Brooklyn (2018). Hope lives and works in New Haven.

Aliza Stone Howard lives and works in New York City; she received a BA from Harvard University. Most recently, her work has been exhibited at 1969 Gallery, New York (2025); Future Fairs, New York (2025); and VSG Contemporary, Chicago (2024). Reviews of her work have appeared in Refinery 29, Whitewall, and Whitehot Magazine.

Taylor Keister (b. 1994, Horseheads, NY) received a BFA and MFA from Alfred University. Most recently, her work has been exhibited at SPRING/BREAK Art Show, New York (2025 and 2024); Tryst Art Fair, Los Angeles (2025); and Ruby/Dakota Gallery, New York (2025). Keister lives and works in Brooklyn.

Alex Maceda (b. 1989) received a BA from Dartmouth College in 2011; she is a current MFA candidate at New York Studio School. Her work has been the subject of solo presentations at Future Fair, New York (2025); Herron House, Yucca Valley, CA (2024); Dorado 806 Projects, Los Angeles (2024); 29 Palms Art Gallery, Twentynine Palms, CA (2023); and Frida Art Show, San Francisco (2020). Recently, Maceda has participated in group exhibition at Ryan Hastings Gallery, Brooklyn (2025); College of the Desert, Palm Springs, CA (2025); Dorado 806 Projects, Los Angeles (2024, 2023, and 2022); Gallery Index 8, New York (2024); High Line Nine Galleries, New York (2023); and Galeria Azur, Miami (2023). Presently, Maceda is based in New York City.

Guillermo Serrano Amat (b. 1993, Salamanca, ES) received an MFA from New York Academy of Art in 2024. His work has been the subject of presentations at Harkawik, New York (2025); ARCO Contemporary Art Fair, Madrid (2023 and 2022); and Galería Arte Plus, Salamanca, ES (2020 and 2019). Most recently, he has participated in group exhibitions at Plato Gallery, New York (2025); Harkawik, New York (2024); West Broadway Gallery, New York (2024); SPRING/BREAK Art Show, New York (2023); and Galerie Artmundi, Paris (2022). Serrano Amat lives and works in NEw York City.

Emilie Stark-Menneg (b. 1984) received an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 2019, and a BFA from Cornell University in 2007. Her work has been the subject of solo presentations at Dowling Walsh Gallery, Rockland, ME (2025); Farnsworth Museum of Art, Rockland, ME (2024); Bowdoin College, Brunswick, ME (2023); Morgan Lehman Gallery, New York (2021); Boarder Patrol, Portland, ME (2018); Allouche Gallery, New York (2018); Elizabeth Moss Gallery, Falmouth, ME (2017 and 2015); and Kijidome Gallery, Boston (2017). Recently, she has participated in exhibitions at Shelburne Museum, Shelburne, VT (2024); Farnsworth Museum, Rockland, ME (2023); Nexx Asia, Taipei (2023); Night Gallery, Los Angeles (2022); WOAW Gallery, Beijing (2022); Steven Harvey Fine Arts, New York (2021); and Freight and Volume, New York (2020). Stark-Menneg’s work has been acquired by the collections of Bowdoin College and Farnsworth Museum of Art. She lives and works in Brunswick, ME.

Leslie Weissman (b. 1966, New York, NY) received an MPS from New York University, and a BA from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Recently, her work has been exhibited at institutions, including Harper’s, New York (2024); The Hole, Los Angeles (2022); Blue Door Gallery, Yonkers (2020 and 2018); Riverfront Art Gallery, Yonkers (2019); and Left Field Gallery, Los Osos, CA (2016). Weissman lives and works in Mt. Kisco, NY.
